noshw (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the noshw platform, which helps service businesses reduce no-shows by collecting payment card information from clients as a deposit guarantee. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

By using noshw you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Business owner account data: Name, business name, email address, phone number, and business category collected during registration.
  • Appointment data: Client names, client phone numbers, service description, scheduled date and time, and the no-show fee amount you configure.
  • Payment card data: Card information collected from your clients to hold as a deposit guarantee. Card data is tokenized and stored by Stripe, Inc. We never store raw card numbers on our servers.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs, IP addresses, and browser/device metadata when you access the platform.
  • Usage data such as pages visited, actions taken, and session timestamps.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To send appointment confirmation SMS messages to your clients on your behalf.
  • To process no-show fee charges via Stripe when you mark an appointment as a no-show.
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
  • To improve the platform through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. SMS Communications

noshw sends SMS messages to your clients’ phone numbers that you provide. By entering a client’s phone number you confirm that the client has consented to receive SMS messages related to their appointment. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of further messages.

4. Payment Processing

We use Stripe, Inc. to process payments and store payment method information. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. When your client provides card details via a Stripe Setup Intent, that data goes directly to Stripe. We store only a Stripe token on our servers. Our use of Stripe is subject to the Stripe Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Stripe (payment processing), Twilio (SMS messaging), and cloud infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of noshw or others.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case the acquiring party will be bound by this policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and appointment data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 3 years after account closure to fulfill legal and financial recordkeeping obligations. Client card tokens are deleted from Stripe upon your request or when the associated appointment record is purged.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit and restrict access to your data to authorized personnel only. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability.

9. Children’s Privacy

noshw is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the platform. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
